Joyrider does not physically inspect or certify bicycles.
6. Maps, Navigation, and Location Information
Navigation, bicycle lane information, maps, traffic information, nearby services, and GPS-based features may contain inaccuracies or become unavailable without warning.

Developer: Carlos Lerma
Website: https://joyriderapp.com1. Introduction
Welcome to Joyrider.
Joyrider is an independent iOS application designed to make recreational cycling more enjoyable, convenient, and safe.
Your privacy matters to us. Joyrider is designed to work without requiring you to provide personal contact information or create a separate account.
This Privacy Policy explains what information Joyrider accesses, how it is used, where your data is stored, and the choices available to you.
By using Joyrider, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
2. Personal Information
Joyrider does not require you to provide personal information to use the app.
We do not ask for:
Your name
Your email address
Your phone number
Your home or mailing address
Your date of birth
Payment information
Social media accounts
A Joyrider username or password
Joyrider does not operate its own user registration system.
Certain app features require access to your device's location or camera, as explained below.
3. Location Information
Joyrider requests permission to access your device's location to provide cycling-related features.
With your permission, location information may be used to:
Display your current position on a map.
Track your cycling route, distance, speed, and ride duration.
Help you explore nearby places and cycling routes.
Save and replay previous rides.
Provide location-based ride information.
Support other navigation and cycling features within the app.
Location access is controlled through Apple's iOS permission system.
Depending on the permissions you grant, Joyrider may access your precise location while the app is in use or during an active ride, including in the background if supported and authorized.
You may change or revoke location permissions at any time through your device's Settings.
Disabling location access may prevent certain features from functioning correctly.
Joyrider does not use your location for advertising or sell your location history to third parties.
4. Camera Access
Joyrider may request permission to access your device's camera for its Eyes Up safety feature.
This feature is intended to help riders remain aware of their surroundings by detecting when they may be looking at their phone instead of the road.
Camera access is used solely to provide the feature's functionality.
Joyrider's intended camera data handling is as follows:
Camera input is analyzed directly on your device.
Camera footage is not recorded or saved.
Images and videos are not uploaded to Joyrider servers.
Facial recognition is not used to identify individual users.
No facial images or biometric identification profiles are retained.
Camera permission can be disabled at any time through your device's Settings.
Disabling camera access may prevent camera-dependent features from working, but will not prevent you from accessing unrelated features of Joyrider.
5. iCloud Storage
Joyrider uses Apple's iCloud services to store and synchronize supported app data.
Depending on the features you use, this may include:
Saved rides and cycling history
Route information
Saved locations
Bike maintenance information
Personalization preferences
App settings and other user-generated ride information
This information is associated with your Apple Account and managed through Apple's iCloud infrastructure.
Joyrider does not require a separate account or password for its own services, and does not request access to your Apple Account credentials.
Information stored through iCloud is subject to Apple's applicable privacy policies and security practices.
You can manage your iCloud account and available storage controls through your Apple device.
For more information, visit https://www.apple.com/privacy/.
6. How We Use Information
The information accessed by Joyrider is used to provide and support the app's features.
This includes displaying maps, supporting cycling sessions, maintaining ride records, enabling safety features, and remembering your preferences.
Joyrider does not use personal information to build advertising profiles.
We do not sell or rent your information to advertisers or data brokers.
7. Apple Services and Third-Party Providers
Joyrider relies on Apple technologies and services, including iOS permissions and iCloud storage.
Mapping and location features may also rely on Apple or other integrated mapping providers. These services may process information necessary to deliver maps, location search, or related functionality under their respective privacy policies.
Joyrider does not intentionally share your saved ride information with advertisers or data brokers.
Any third-party service integrated into Joyrider is subject to its own applicable privacy practices.
8. Data Retention and Deletion
Ride information, preferences, and other saved app data may remain on your device or in your iCloud storage until they are deleted.
You may manage applicable information through Joyrider's available data-management features and Apple's iCloud settings.
Deleting Joyrider from your device does not necessarily remove information previously synchronized with iCloud.
You may also contact the developer for assistance with questions about data deletion or information handled by Joyrider.
9. Data Security
Joyrider is designed to minimize the amount of personal information required to operate.
We rely on Apple's operating system permissions and applicable iCloud security protections to help safeguard information.
Although reasonable measures are taken to protect user information, no electronic storage or transmission system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
10. Your Privacy Choices
You remain in control of the permissions granted to Joyrider.
You can:
Enable or disable location access in iOS Settings.
Enable or disable camera access in iOS Settings.
Manage applicable saved information and iCloud storage.
Delete the Joyrider application from your device.
Choose whether to use optional features that require additional permissions.
Revoking a permission prevents future access through that permission but may not automatically delete data previously saved.
11. Children's Privacy
Joyrider does not knowingly request names, contact details, or other personal identification information from children.
The app's location and camera features remain subject to the permissions and controls provided by Apple's operating system.
If you believe information has been handled inappropriately, please contact the developer.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to Joyrider's features, technology, data practices, or applicable legal requirements.
When changes are made, the effective date at the top of this policy will be updated.
Material changes will be communicated when required by applicable law.
